The Province of Saskatchewan

As Saskatchewan is the only Canadian province with entirely man-made borders, rather than those dictated by topography, it is clear that its design was absolutely deliberate. Like a middle child, this province sometimes seems to fade into the background as more populous provinces hog the spotlight. Let’s take a moment to appreciate its pencil-straight borders, the important pieces of our country’s history that occurred there, the vast kilometres of glimmering wheat fields against the huge sky and its remarkable people who have made and continue to make a difference in our land.
