Nimmo Bay Floating Sauna

Heading into the wilds of British Columbia for a reset has always been at the top of our bucket list, and with experiential outdoor brands like the Nimmo Bay wilderness resort popping up at an expedient rate, it’s never been easier to take on the pine-filled forests of Canada’s westernmost province.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Nimmo’s luxurious outdoor escape is its serene, floating cedar sauna — a meditative structure that can be utilized in private, or with friends. After taking part in the day’s various activities, which include diving, horseback riding, fly fishing, and hiking, denizens are welcomed back to the resort’s established wellness area, allowing them to relax, wind down, and experience a more immersive side of their natural surroundings. This unique floating cedar sauna, for example, can only be accessed by kayak/canoe, making it an enticingly-private destination for those who hope to spend an afternoon (or night) among BC’s idyllic wilderness. At the sauna’s rear, a small socialization area, picnic table, and tub can be accessed, providing even more opportunity for breathtaking views, interactions, and memories.
