Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts – Toronto, Ontario

Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts is the first building of its kind in Canada; a theatre designed specifically for the Canadian Opera Company and the National Ballet of Canada’s performances with pitch perfect acoustics (N-1 criteria for acoustic quality). Although the building really is just a case to hold the events on the stage, it is packed with smart and lovely materials and details, like the transparent  façade and the worlds longest spanning glass staircase, both elements that show off the buildings contents to the passing city, and give the whole building a vibrant personality.
