The Running Horse Project

Seemingly inspired by the motion experiments of Eadweard Muybridge, this project proposed to turn the walls of Calgary’s C-Train tunnels into a type of animated flip book (or stills of a film), where a passenger’s window presents a galloping horse beside the moving train. The horse has deep cultural connection to the city, from their Stampeder’s football team to the Calgary Stampede, we continue to see the cultural impact of this animal/symbol.
