Mom’s Classic Butter Tarts


With such a short history and the mosaic of cultural inputs, Canadian culinary distinctness can be tough to get a line on. This little buttery and vanilla pastry was a staple of pioneer life and can legitimately credited as being uniquely Canadian in root. Many delicious varieties exists but of the ones that I have made and nibbled, the one below was the best.
