Purdy Polar Bear

A quietly popular souvenir of its day, this little character would be a friendly accent for your home. It is slipped cast from chocolaty Ontario clay, with a hand applied creamy matte glaze, hand painted accents, and a hand cut surface which mimics fur. These are very hard to find and growing in collectible value.

One of the forgotten pottery factories of Canada, Purdy made a handful of little Canadian animals for the souvenir trade from the mid sixties to the early eighties.
