Lake Louise Teapot

Instead of some abstract landscape, common in European ceramics, this is an actual Canadian location, Lake Louise AB. The work used a standard Medalta tea pot form, updated annually (and seasonally) with graphic updates. The Lake Louise patterns were “likely created by Tom Hulme who was the head of the art department from 1929 to 1954.
