Ceramic Bottles

A continuation of casting found objects, common to the technique of ceramics, these slip casts have such a great story layered into their form. Referencing the child like thrill of digging up some ancient bottle from the ground, Coe and Waito use silver foil details of flora and bugs to embed the bottles with an rough, earthy feeling, an authentic connection/memorial to the soil (the source of the clay). It is easy to cast found objects, it is another venture to make this process poetic.
