Boink TV Stand

Boink was classic Plastic Buddha – a clean, minimalist form that functions in an unconventional (you might even say confrontational) way. The huge cantilevered shelf (7 feet long) may look dangerous (which was the point of course), but in practice the weight of a television resting on the base makes the whole thing very stable. In fact, the length of the cantilever actually makes things more stable: let’s say that you actually jump onto that diving board shelf, tipping things over… because it is so long (and low), the resulting movement at the base (where your expensive TV is resting) is less than an inch. In other words, nothing goes flying… thank god, cause we actually sold a lot of these!
