Dive Self-powered Water Purifier

Requiring no outside power source, the Dive purifier incorporates a small turbine generator that produces electricity internally from the water flowing through the device. The electricity powers Dive’s automated copper–silver ionization process, which treats the water as it flows. The system also automatically adjusts the disinfection rate based on water flow rate. Once connected to a pipeline, the device functions without technical expertise or a dedicated power supply.

Those qualities will be critical, the GCC says. In partnership with H2O4ALL, the Dive purifier will be used to treat water in Uganda where the majority of the country’s rural people live in dry regions that make obtaining adequate clean water a perpetual challenge.
