Canadian White Star

This handsome rose was developed by George Mander of Coquitlam, BC and took eleven years of hybridizing to create. A true Canuck, this rose can stand the colder climates and is one of the most durable and disease resistance (it needs no chemical pesticides to thrive) roses ever brought to market. This patent protected and award-winning flower was immortalized on a Canada Post domestic rate postage stamp series (Designed by Gerry Takeuchi), alongside the Agnes, Morden Centennial and Champlain in September of 2001.
