The Charter of Rights and Freedoms

When Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau brought the Charter back to Canada from the UK, this act was the tipping point in making the country independent. This book was published by the federal government and distributed to Canadian’s free of charge to promote the ideas contained in the Charter. The graphic identity is in the modern style of government publications, Swiss inspired but with an independent flavour. The details are really nice, from great type to humble binding. This book was also the first time that I saw both official languages being represented in a equal manner. It has no hierarchy, on one side is the English version, flip it over and you have the French version. Really simple, smart and efficient.
