Seafood Cookbook

This beautiful government issued cookbook was intended to give basic information about the preperation of various species of fish and encourage their use in the average Canadian home.

“Canada’s fishing grounds are perhaps the most extensive in the world and off both coasts and in the great inland waters fish are found in manifold variety. It is for this reason, among others, that the Canadian housewife may serve fish foods frequently without monotony in the family diet. The seasons of greatest abundance vary, of course, with different species, but as the most modern methods of refrigeration and processing are employed in the Dominion’s fishing industry there is no time in the year when the housewife cannot (sic) have a wide range of choice in selecting fish foods ‘Produced in Canada”.
