Lay’s is expanding their search for national and regional flavours, and are making hay with the social and online attention the campaign is generating. In an effort to connect with the public the brand held a contest to choose the next Canadian potato chip flavor and hired actor/comedian Martin Short to host the competition (very American Idol), the votes came in and the four finalists were Creamy Garlic Caesar, Grilled Cheese & Ketchup, Maple Moose, and Perogy Platter. Waiting to see what the final choice is…but no matter what… the marketing value is the real story.
