Kellogg’s/Sobeys 100 Years Special

In 2007 Nova Scotia-based grocery retailer Sobeys celebrated its 100th anniversary. As part of the year long celebration Sobeys commissioned a number of their largest vendors (including Kellogg’s, Maxwell House, Heinz, and Coca Cola) to release special anniversary edition packaging. This Kellogg’s Corn Flakes box is a retro inspired gem featuring a vintage Kellogg’s word mark and Rockwell-esque artwork. Each commemorative product also features a brief history of Sobeys alongside a historical account of the product’s first appearance on the Canadian market.

While we’ve been unable to confirm if this package was actually designed in Canada, it’s a great example of a Canadian company piggy-backing Canadian content onto an American company’s packaging – something we rarely see beyond the requisite French/English labeling.
