Beehive Corn Syrup Packaging

Beehive Corn Syrup in the signature yellow beehive bottle was commonplace in households across Canada. A few years ago I was making a recipe that called for Corn Syrup. I ventured to the store knowing EXACTLY what I was looking for, a yellow beehive. I searched the shelves for quite a while when I finally asked for help. It was there, they had just changed the packaging, (perhaps due to the switch to production in Minneapolis?) making it unidentifiable on the shelf.

The St. Lawrence Starch Company was a great contributor to Canadian culture, not just on our pantry shelves, but as a key sponsor in Canadian sports. It also produced ethanol and conducted research in the development of a corn based biodegradable plastic.
