Come Up To My Room Lint Picking – Toronto, Ontario

Photos: John Ryan

What a homely, oddball of an exhibit, a hodgepodge collection of Canadian inspired things. Filled, from wall to wall, with objects like a completely accurate ceramic tree stump, a country style table runner with images of indigenous fish, a series of “Newfie Ugly Sticks“, thin wooden Canada Post stamps, a collection of porcelain souvenirs, and a pair of silk screens of the current national party leaders skin tones and Canadian CadPat patterns. These misfits were packed together into a garage sale style show, that gave the collection a folksy feel and the visitor a welcoming “always been here” experience.

Designers include Cynthia Hathaway, Michael and Ian Erdmann, Angela Noonan, Todd Falkowsky, Naomi Aiko Yasui and Christina Sapper.
