Activity badge – Patch Trader

I grew up spending a very brief time in the Boy Scouts and was completely addicted to the idea of earning merit badges. From archery to wood carving, the badges were snapshots of achievement and were the souvenirs of successful participation. I was glad to find out that the Canadian Girl Guides also use patches and that they had their own distinct vernacular (I do not remember earning a badge for trading patches!). I found a hidden treasure of these old Girl Guide badges so brace yourselves for more posts on them.
